a long overdue currently.

Hello all of you wonderful souls! I realize it has been far too long since I have posted, and the more time that went on, the more anxious I became about what to fill this space with! I thought it needed a wee bit more substance, more writing from the soul, more something. Then I realized, that I need to let it be whatever it wants to be....some days there may be more substance, and other posts may be filled with random pics. I started this blog with the intent of keeping family and friends across the miles in the loop about our little family and all of the happenings, but now I realize a huge part of this is for Kaden and Sophia. My little journal for them, since I am horrible at actually putting pics in albums and getting around to making actual photo books. I want them to remember the amazing kiddos that they are, and where they come from! One day, they may hate me for putting their lil faces all over the internet.

Kaden's latest favorite thing to do is "make his hair" and to make it "swoop". I was putting his belt on in the car this morn, and he said "MAAA! YOU messed up my swoop"! Definitely a little Bartosiewicz in him!

Miss Fia had her very first haircut.  Somehow I walked out of this pricey kids salon with my little lady looking almost exactly the same, and Cake batter kids conditioner in hand. Not sure all of the above was entirely necessary.

Kaden is turning into a very stylish dude. "Swooping" his hair before we leave the house, wearing his precious cowboy boots over just about any pair of pants, including sweats.

Rockstars. These two can rock out for hours! Kaden told me today that his two favorite songs are "Were not gonna take it" (Twisted Sister) and "Don't Stop Believing" (Journey). His parents were most definitely 80's children!  Sophia's favorite is "Let it Go" from Frozen. She yells "GO" in the car and holds her arms out wide until I play it for her.

Sophia's first train ride...she loved it!

smores. ocean air. rest. and wonderful family time...

I know it has been a while since I have posted, and I continue to say that won't happen...but then there I go again! We spent this past weekend hanging with kaden's mamaw and papaw! We all had an awesome time, and chad and I even went camping in malibu for one night to catch up on some much needed rest and ocean air. Kaden loved playing with mamaw and papaw, I have never seen him laugh SO much! After they left for the airport today, it broke my heart to see him look around for them when he woke up from his nap. We can't wait to play with them again soon!

scrumtiousness

Kaden's auntie Jena Gabina came over this weekend, and took some amazing shots of the little man! I put up a few of my favorites, but you can check out the amazing collection here. so many amazing shots!

We took Kaden on his first farmers market adventure yesterday. We had always gone to the Hollywood farmers market on sundays near our old place, so we thought we would check out the market in our new neighborhood! This one had so many fun things for kids, much different than the "hipster" market that we were used to in Hollywood. There were pony rides, a petting zoo and even a Thomas train that you could ride around the neighborhood! We bundled little man up in a hat and sweater and double layers to ward off the nippy 65 degree air, and then gigled when we noticed all the other kids with shorts and tees.
