*holiday love*

Just wanted to share some images of the holidays with you all! I found myself really sinking into this season, despite the colds, sicknesses and blur of chaos going on all around us. Being in our new home was the cherry on top, and I felt the magic of Santa truly come into our family room. I feel blessed to have such a wonderful family that I married into, and I am also really missing my family and friends back east.  Thinking of you all this holiday season, and wishing you warmth and peace to you and your families!

*pseudo christmas card*

I am not sure what happened to me this holiday season. I am struggling to make everything come together! I really wanted to do holiday cards this year, and I attempted to do them several times, but it just didn't happen! Please don't take me off your Xmas card list! I absolutely love getting your holiday cards, they brighten my day and I love seeing all of the beautiful photos of you and your little ones!

So please accept this as my pseudo holiday card to all of you! I hope everyone has a merry and bright holiday filled with love and magic!

Sending you all love, light and peace!

maybe santa will bring Sophie a diaper cover this year!

Merry Christmas to ALL and to ALL a GOOD NIGHT!

Happy 8 months Sophia and Poppy comes to visit!

*perfecting her Miss America wave*

I have mixed feelings about updating my silly lil blog after the horrific tragedy that occurred last friday. It seems wrong to not acknowledge that it happened, but possibly feels even more wrong to me to gush about how hard I have been hugging my little ones and talking about the joy that they bring to my world. I know that every single person is grieving for this community, so many big feelings, but nothing even close or comparable to what they are feeling.  I find myself thinking of these families, the heroes, and most of all...the sweet beautiful angel babies at random moments during the day, and I my stomach gets wrapped in knots. I truly can't shake it.  All we can do is pray for these families and the loved ones left behind.  love harder. be more patient. be kind.

Dear Sophia,

You are growing and growing and growing little girl! It's hard to believe you are already fitting into 12 month clothes, you are getting so big, so quick. Slooooooow doooooooown girl! This month you learned how to wave and clap your hands, and it melts my heart into itty bitty pieces every.single.time. You love to sit, and roll around, but you still have absolutely NO interest in crawling. Poppy came for a visit this month and he was determined to help you take a few steps...you loved walking all over the house with him! You laugh at your brother ALL the TIME, no matter what he is doing. He is your hero. Your absolute favorite thing is to take a bath with him. You sit and face him and you never stop smiling, not even for a moment. so.much.love.

You don't like to be alone for more than a few moments, and when you are (because come on, sometimes mommy needs to go to the bathroom!), you LOSE it, and fall backward with a big ol THUMP! You have no interest in your Jumperoo or any of your other baby type things, you would much rather play with your brother's spiderman or his trains. You love rice cakes, bananas and carrots. You love to push Puffs around the table, but you have yet to figure out how to put them in your mouth.

You are such an incredibly HAPPY girl. When Poppy visited, we found this picture of MY Mommy when she was a little girl, and I am so amazed at how much you look like her!

Every single moment with you is an absolute blessing. I promise not to take any of those amazing little moments for granted.

I love you sweet baby girl!
Love,
your mommy

Poppy visited last weekend and we had SO much fun with him. We were so excited for him to see the house, and have him be our very first houseguest! The kids loved him being here, and so did we! Come back and see us soon Poppy!

Kaden was SO excited to have a slumber party with Poppy in the basement. He carried around his sleeping bag and talked about it non-stop. He and Daddy set up the sleeping bags down next to Poppy's bed, and about a minute and a half into the festivities, kaden decided he didn't want to slumber party after all. shortest.slumber.party.ever!

hugs!
